Trump Network Business Review: The Next Big One?

Within this post, I’ll summarize the main points associated with the Trump Network, give you a quick review of the products and founders, and then give you some general key points to keep in mind when evaluating this or any other network marketing company. Keep in mind that even if you are already in a network marketing organization, there are some fundamental considerations that, if reviewed, will help you build your Trump Network business.

Trump Network is a relatively new network marketing company that grew out of a company founded in the late 90’s, Ideal Health. Many people wonder what Donald’s real involvement in the company is; however, as I understand it, his involvement is very limited, if not just a figurehead role. Despite this, being able to use the Trump brand is not a bad thing, even if Donald is not directly involved, as he can use the brand to provide instant credibility to his prospects. With that in mind, let’s consider the products.

Custom Essentials are the main product within the company and one of the main selling points when people are considering joining. The basics of this product is that it will offer personalized nutritional supplements based on your individual needs so you don’t have to guess what you need to take when it comes to nutritional supplements. This sounds good, but how is it accomplished? The primary way this supplement is prepared is based on your age and gender and my home metabolic test, The Priva Test. The first part is pretty solid and a simple way to provide people with specific supplements, however the science behind the measurements made in the Priva Test is a bit uncertain as it’s hard to use their testing tools to quantify how much of a specific supplement that you need. Having said that, I have several friends and coworkers who have had personal success with this product and it seems to be interesting, at least as a way to provide some customization and take the guesswork out of nutritional supplementation.

Honestly, there is not much information on their website about the people involved in this company, however, the president of the company is a man named Lou DiCaprio and he controls much of the day to day operations. Along with Lou, brother Scott and Todd Stanwood are the “power brothers” bringing network marketing expertise to the table. Todd and Scott were formerly leaders at Nu Skin, creating a strong group, however they left that company years ago to found Ideal Health in the late 90’s. They seem to have a good team, although it’s hard to say how much purely business experience they have, something that could alter the stability of the company. In fact, from what I understand, over the last year or so, there have been some solvency issues that led to a large portion of distributors moving to another company. While I don’t know all the details, this raises a question mark in my eyes as to what exactly is going on at the corporate level.

The general message is that the brand recognition seems to be good, the products seem to have a nice personalized touch, but some of the leaders in the corporate office can be a bit suspicious. Most importantly, remember that your success in any network marketing venture is related to your ability to build your network. Click here for a more detailed review of the Trump network.
