Is it possible for someone’s life to change music? Kurt Donald Cobain was the leader of one of the most important Grunge bands, Nirvana. He was born on February 20, 1967 in a small town near Seattle. He lived with his mother, a cocktail waitress, and his father, a mechanic. Later, he moved to a dreary logging town. Cobain was considered for most of his childhood a boy with unhealthy bronchial tubes. The situation worsened when his parents divorced when he was seven years old. He said that he would never feel love and security again.

Cobain began to change over time, life became more difficult for him. He became more antisocial, but continued to pursue his dream of having a band and being successful. He formed a series of bands before Nirvana appeared in 1986. Nirvana was a very simple alliance between Cobain, Krist Novoselic, bassist, and Dave Grohl. In 1988, Nirvana began making shows and completed its demo tapes. In 1989, they recorded their first album, Bleach, considered one of the best grunge hits at the time.

“Smells like Teen Spirit” became Nirvana’s most acclaimed and instantly recognized song. However, Cobain always felt troubled thinking that maybe his music was attracting the wrong kind of fans, the kids who always beat him up in high school. In February 1992, Cobain went to Hawaii to marry Courtney Love. In that same year, Insecticide released another album by him. In early 1993, In Utero hit the top spot on the music charts.

Cobain was drawn to heroin in the early 1990s; He said he used it as a shield against the rigorous demands of touring and to stop pain from stomach ulcers. In August, Cobain received hospital treatment for heroin abuse. Shortly after Bean Cobain was born. Again, on March 4, he was rushed to a hospital in a coma after a failed suicide when he took about fifty painkillers with champagne.

Cobain was a fan of weapons and always had several in his possession. Cobain’s body was found when an electrician visiting the home to install a security system toured the back of the home. He thought he saw a mannequin on the ground until he noticed a spot of blood next to Cobain’s ear. When police broke down the door, they found Cobain dead on the ground, a shotgun still pointed at his chin and near a suicide note written in red ink addressed to his wife and daughter Frances Bean.
