Jewelry – Tips for making gold in World of Warcraft

Jewelry making is my favorite profession in World of Warcraft. I think it’s easily the most profitable profession in the entire game. In this article, I’ll discuss some great ways you can use jewelry to make more gold.

1. Level up cheaply by buying organic recipes.

One of the easiest ways to make money with jewelry is to minimize your expenses. There are many rare quality jewelry recipes you can drink that make jewelry much easier to level up. By getting these recipes, you can significantly reduce your jewelry costs and earn more money as a result.

2. Sell your daily quest reward.

In WotLK, jewelers get a very easy daily quest that rewards them with a token. You can then use this token to buy a Dragon Eye which is sold on the auction house for 100 gold. If you set aside 10 minutes a day to do this quest, you can earn 3000 gold per month with little effort!

There is a similar quest in Cataclysm. You can buy the Chimera Eye and then sell it on the auction house. Within a few weeks of their release, they will be worth 100 gold cents each. Take advantage of this while the market is hot!

3. Avoid rushing to level.

When Cataclysm comes out, many players will try to level up Jewelcrafting as quickly as possible. The cost of jewelery materials will inflate significantly due to all players trying to level up the craft.

Also, the prices of gems will be very low. It always takes players a few weeks to get enough gold to buy all the leftover gems. Most players will not get gem quest rewards, but will wait until they try to get at least instance level gear.

During this time, you should sell your materials instead of trying to level up Jewelcrafting. In a few weeks, the prices will drop and you will be able to buy jewelry materials for much less gold. With a little patience, you’ll end up saving a lot of gold in World of Warcraft.

While these are not traditional techniques, they can all be applied to making more gold with jewelry. Remember to sell your quest reward items, look outside for recipes to buy from the auction house or from vendors when you improve your skills, and be patient. Following these tips will surely earn you a lot of gold with Jewelcrafting in World of Warcraft.
