Hot water heaters

Flow water heaters

Using flow heaters is one of the cheapest and most convenient ways to heat water. Water heaters take electricity only when the water flows, they have energy class A, so they are very energy efficient. In addition, the devices allow the continuous collection of hot water, which is obtained almost immediately after unscrewing the tap.

In individual (one-point) supply systems with hot water, a well-chosen flow heater will provide great comfort for the use of hot water. These types of heaters are characterized by a modern design and a simple and reliable construction.

Flow heaters are selected according to the number and type of water collection points. At home, the most common warm water is needed in the bathroom and in the kitchen. If you have a shower in the bathroom with a standard spout, you generally only need 12-15 kW. Keep in mind that if you use a rain shower, you will need a heater with more power and efficiency, adjusted to the needs of the rainwater, usually a device with an output power of at least 24 kW or even 27 kW. In the case of a bathtub, use a heater with a minimum of 18 kW.

How the water is heated

1. Hot water is on

2. The flow sensor detected a flow of cold water entering

3. The burner ignites automatically.

4. The water is instantly heated as it circulates through the heat exchanger and exits the faucet.

Another group of flow water heaters are the three-phase (high power) heaters. They work as pressure equipment and provide hot water to various points of consumption. The models are hydraulically controlled and are more technologically advanced models with electronic control. Thanks to the correct programming of the unit, the water heaters can operate impulsively, ensuring a stable water temperature of up to 1 ° C, which translates into lower energy consumption.

However, flow devices have some limitations: they require proper electrical installation. If it is not possible to obtain the proper power allocation, it is necessary to use the capacitive heaters.

Tank heaters

Electric tank heaters – mounted above or below the sink – is the optimal solution for single point systems (hot water supply systems).

Installation directly at the water inlet eliminates heat loss associated with hot water flow, and polystyrene insulation protects stored water from rapid cooling.
