Two great new feature-packed phones for summer 2008

Sony Ericsson has today confirmed the launch of two new Cybershot phones, the C702 and C902, both of which have been buzzing around the internet for a while now and seem to be attracting interest. They are quite similar in appearance and features, but with a couple of main differences. Both are typical Sony Ericsson styling, seen recently on the K850 and K770.

First up is the Sony Ericsson C702, a candy bar-style 3G phone with a 3.2-megapixel camera, MP3 player, FM radio and a big plus of GPS. This is an excellent all-around phone, but it really stands out for the addition of GPS in a standard-style phone. Typically, you should go for a larger, more specialized mobile like the Nokia N95 for the GPS feature.

The Sony Ericsson C902 has very similar features to the C702, but it ditch the GPS and replace it with an impressive 5-megapixel camera, making it better suited for shooting happy mobile users. Once again, it’s equipped with an MP3 and 3G player and has eight handy touch-sensitive buttons positioned around the screen that come to life when the camera is activated.

Both phones are sure to be very popular as most of the Sony Ericsson phones come highly recommended for the quality of their music players and camera. Expect the Sony Ericsson C702 and C902 to launch in the summer of 2008; the prices are likely to be quite high, but hopefully they will be available for free with mid-range rates.
