How to heal the past empowers your future

Every day I meet people who have a chronic condition that rules their lives and I notice that they are not even aware of it. Often the pain has been buried in your unconscious; or if they are aware of it, they choose to deny any power to combat it.

However, unless they seek healing, this energy locked up in their mind is a continual drain on their vitality. It is a parasite of your life force.

The first step to true self-help is to be willing to be honest, to realize what hurts, and to find the necessary therapy to remove the psychic burden.

Those who do this will find that their whole life will open up. All things that seemed impossible before suddenly become possible. They realize they don’t need to be among the walking wounded because help is near. All they have to do is ask for it.

Most people deny or push back the events that hurt them, and when they do, they choose the path of disempowerment.

They are not burdened by what really happened, but by how they hold on to their story of persecution. If it’s been horrible enough, they even numb and call off the chase.

Their pursuer has certainly bested them; not only then, but also in the now. The malice of his persecutor has not only stripped them in the past, but he continues to weaken them.

They often think that revenge is a desirable option and feel that the victims could gain some satisfaction if they could strike and hurt as they have been hurt, but often the persecutor is no longer available and sometimes may even be long dead. .

Child molesters, spousal abusers, terrorists, and criminals are among those who seek revenge, but because the persecutor is no longer available, they take out their anger against others who had nothing to do with their abuse.

Almost everyone has been tormented at one time or another. Those who are psychologically healthy have endeavored to seek and find healing.

In your case, the cycle of your unhappiness can only be stopped when you decide it’s time to take back your power. Until you make this decision, you will be persecuted forever, because your wounded psyche will continue to do the work of your tormentors.

Hell, indeed, is never letting the wound heal, but opening it up again when the thought of your torment comes to mind. And a deeper hell is not even allowing pain to come to consciousness but expressing itself through tormented behavior.

How do you let go? That is the task of specialized therapy.

All psychological imbalances, whether mild, as in a neurosis, or chronic, as in a full-blown psychosis, arise from embracing victimhood.

Unless there comes a time when you face your inner tormentors, no self-help study course can help you “unleash the giant within.”

Knowledge is not enough; the emotional cathar is a must. Even this article can’t do anything for you; It’s what you do with it that makes the difference. Do you face your past and find a healer? Or do you live with it and continue down the paths of less promise? We are always choosing, even when we choose not to choose.
