BMW – Past, Present and Future
The demand for BMW is high. This elegant and classy car is a safe driving vehicle. They handle well on the road and are attractive to look at.
In Germany, in 1916, the Bavarian Motor Works began to manufacture these cars. They also successfully produced motorcycles and Rolls-Royces. At one point, before World War I, they made aircraft engines,
The cars logo is circular on a blue background. It is said to be representative of an aircraft propeller. Whether it is an aircraft propeller is disputed. It is agreed, however, that the blue background is the same blue as the Bavarian flag.
Bavarian Motor Works has continued to manufacture the vehicles. There were a total of 1,366,838 of the four-wheelers made in 2006. In 2009, 1,258,417 of them were made. Also, in 2009, 82,631 of its motorcycles were produced.
The motorcycle was built in the United States; 105,172 of them in 2006. Again a large number were built in 2008; 170,741 to be exact. There were the popular BMW X5 and X6 models. There are manufacturing plants in the US, Germany and three other countries.
These are popular vehicles throughout the US. They are high quality and easy to drive, and are well known for their ability to stay on the road. Admirable sporty chassis and good driving capabilities keep them in demand at the new car dealership as well as a reliable used car.
Everyone who can afford them, including movie stars and their agents, wants them. All new car dealers do a brisk business. They are sought after on used car lots and mechanics skilled in repairing them are in demand.
A luxury BMW SUV is also a luxury vehicle. It is often purchased for its reputation as a status symbol as well as for other reasons. Sometimes it’s bought simply because it handles better on the road than other SUVs.
The X5 is characterized by its lower driving chassis as well as its sleek performance. An immediately popular SUV, it sells widely. The SUV was manufactured at the American plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
A less than perfect feature is the limited space inside the vehicle. It only has capacity for five people. That was the X5. Now when the 2007 model was designed, that was corrected. It now has more cargo space and room for seven passengers.
There are three models produced now. The X5 x Drive 30i, the turbodiesel x Drive 35d and the X5 x Drive 48i. Buyers love being able to choose from three different models and three engine sizes.
You can get all-wheel drive, which is a standard feature. There is an optional third row seat. Although it is not standard. This is a sporty but family-oriented SUV. No other manufacturer can compete with these three BMW SUV models.
Passengers can travel in comfort and the driver can enjoy a car that is easy to drive. The interior material is of good quality. The third passenger seat in the rear is small and fits more for a child than a full-grown adult.
