A wireless kingdom in the 21st century

With the advent of wireless technology, the landscape of the Internet world has changed radically. Not bad that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth have brought humanity to a new realm, a wonderful space that only has devices but no cables. Digital data transmissions are made over wireless networks. So much so, these networks can also be connected to the Web, the world’s information superhighway. Blue Tooth-enabled laptops and personal computers are dominating the world’s corporate boardrooms. Mobile phones are Wi-Fi capable; so we have no problem sending and receiving SMS (short messaging service) and MMS (multimedia messaging service) messages. Airports have wireless data transfer facilities. Anyone who is authorized to browse through wireless networks with the help of their laptop can do so with a click of the mouse.

However, wireless data transmissions run only at a price. Wired devices are still cheaper than their wireless cousins. Ordinary PC users would have to wait a few years to get their hands on these marvels of cutting edge technology.

Despite fierce competition, some Wi-Fi-based device manufacturers stand out from the crowd. These manufacturers are likely to remain key players in the wireless world until at least 2012. However, after five years, they could be displaced by other players in the field of wireless technologies and devices.

The advent and progress of wireless technologies means a lot of convenience for both corporate and ordinary users. As to date, we cannot count on any serious drawbacks of these technologies, except one: they are quite complicated. Ordinary users cannot program or even operate wireless devices without proper training. In the times to come, sophisticated training modules will be made available in world markets. Users would have to struggle to master the software and hardware operations of these technologies. We will meet our readers about the latest developments in this field in the new edition of this volume.

In the next few years, the number of users may reach a new level. With the growing number of Wi-Fi users, it can be said that the demands for this technology will really reach a new height. We can see that the Internet craze among users is increasing globally. Therefore, it is estimated that the number of Wi-Fi users will be reached to a new level worldwide. The reason behind this is clearly the superiority of this technology.
