Why Try Restorative Yoga?

Restorative Yoga

Raleigh Prenatal Yoga is a wonderful way for expectant mothers to relax and ease into their pregnancy. “Prenatal yoga” means the art of practicing yoga during pregnancy, but I prefer to call it “natal.” ” prenatal” because it deals with the physical, mental, social, emotional, spiritual, and childbirth issues that all women face throughout their lives. The term “prenatal” comes from the Greek word meaning “of the pregnant woman.” Classes are held at The House of Yesteryear, a lovely retreat center in Raleigh, NC, where the Prenatal Yoga program was started in 1997.

“Prenatal yoga” is a combination of Vinyasa and restorative yoga that is gentle, low-impact, and high-powered. “We provide classes in Flow Yoga, Gentle Flow, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Kids & Teen Yoga to help you get fit during pregnancy and become a whole person.
